No pun intended but the females will by far have fewer pups themselves than the studdog which is bred to a lot of females & if people hunting their pups out of good crosses title them that females will have a higher reproducing rate than males. Lets say a female is bred to a heavily used stud dog in the top reproducers list & has 10 pups & 6 are titled (3 GrNt&3NtCh.) than that shows her litter as 60%. This really makes the female look good , but doesn't help the studdog as much when he's has hundreds & sometimes even thousands of pups& only 10 to 20% at most for the top studdogs in history of his total pups get titled. Now that being said I absolutley agree with topcoondog females when it comes to making a cross for myself on DualGrChKings Mtn. Stylish Nut wether it be all grand or not & will keep pups for myself from these kind of crosses only & have never had any problem having one to show anyone interested in his pups or several locally owned that will gladly show them also. He truly dominates entire litters, but I am a firm believer in females & like hunting them & only breed a coondog female for myself.
