Bands at big coonhunts.

What would everybody think about having a band play at some of the big events like the Grand American? There is a guy, David Cooler, here in S.C. who is pretty good and sings and writes songs about our lives. He told me he tried to get into the Grand the past 2 years and they wouldn't have him. I would like to see this happen, what are your thoughts? Check out his song "Dog Huntin' Man" on his myspace. He also has other ones on there.

Heck yeah!

I would love to see this guy in concert, especially at a hunt (large or small).

I LOVE David Cooler. I was introduced to his music a little over a year ago, and I'm still a fan. "Dog Huntin' Man" is one of my all-time favorite songs...makes me miss dog driving season every time I hear it! I think this year he was doing gigs at some of the dog clubs in the lower part of the state...would have loved to get him to ours, but I'm not sure the older members in our club would have been interested. He's a HUGE supporter of hound hunting, and it'd be great to see him somewhere like the Grand American in my opinion.

One of the big events that the other KC does in April always has entertainment...They will have several locals throughout the weekend and usually a bigger name on Saturday night.

Note: This is a big 'benifit' event, so I do not know if this these are donated or not..I do know that they did have to pay something for Josh Turner and his Long Black Train...LOL...

I would think that there would be some very good local talent that would love to be able to perform at something like this.
