Westminster Dog Show

I was watching the Westminster Dog Show last night and saw Amanda Alexander was competing in the "hound" category with her Plott hound. I believe I read on her once where she hunts her dogs as well as shows them. I hope this is the case because I would bet that hardly any of the dogs on that show are used for the purpose they were bred for.

Is this the dog you saw?

This night he got a lil tore up, but obviously it hasn't fazed him much!

yes, they do hunt Monday. If you take a look at the PA AKC Nite Hunt top 10 I believe he is in the top 3 for 2008...

Congrats to Curt, Amanda, and Monday for a job well done!

I believe it is him. I know his name was Monday (Black Monday maybe) that's great, seeing a dog do what he was bred to do as well as competing at that level of show. Congrats to all involved.

The Alaxanders do a great job with their hounds and they do get hunted. Way to go Amanda great job we watched you and it makes it more interesting when you know someone on the show. That is a good pic of Monday
