Question about treeing and not leaving
I have a bluetick male 3 years old. He is a solid hard treeing dog. A little tight mouthed on track, but sure hard hitter under a tree. The Problem. Lets use this morning for instance. I turned loose before 5 am. He made a good tree before 5:30. I played with my young leapord at the tree some and caught my blue dog and thought I would try another. First time I walked down the creek about 100 yards, unsnapped him and took off telling him to hunt em up. Right back to the tree. I sort of expected it because he does this most of the time. Next time I walked about 1/4 mile down creek, same thing. By this time I am not happy so I take him back to the pickup, load and drive about 1/2 mile the other way from tree. He started out going the way I wanted, then after several minutes I could hear him back at the tree. I really dont want to whip him around a good solid tree, but dang it I hate having to change creeks to keep hunting. Any suggestions
