Tracker

With the Garmin selling like crazy. You can find a tracker any where you look cheap.. I would recommend selling your collars and by a Garmin DC 30 !!!

Is it a good system? I've been using a Wildlife TRX-3 since I got started and want to get something better than it.

its a great reliable system. you can find them cheap now. I have a garmin and a maxima and I have seen wonders out of the garmin but their reliability is not where I hoped so I use both at the same time.

I like the tracker classic my self. It seems simpler than the maxima. Used with 2 collars are $300- $400.

there are others like johnson, wildlife, and so on, the trackers whether maxima or classic do not require extra anntenae so it makes them easier to use.

Maxima

i like the maxima... easy to use and you can carry it on your belt so you don't have to go back to the truck.

QT 6000 as you tune any collar no matter the freq. With the new pistal grip antenna it is a slick setup. Goes on the hip and great range.

I have both, the maxima is great it has never failed me, the garmin has a lot of glitches in it, but they are improving everytime they update their software. The rf collars are cheap now as everyone is buying the garmin and you can get great deals on them.
