Light Builders or Replacement Batts

I went to Radio Shack this Morn. And bought 2-Universal DVD Battery Packs -- Their Lithium-Ion 9 volts at 2.6 amps .. In thirty min.s I built a 18 Volt 3.2 amp belt light .. Total Battery cost was $97.74 I had a Digital High Voltage Reiostat that I had bought from Night Light. And I had a head and 18 volt bulb.

The best part is the Batt.s have a 3 year Replacement Warranty.

I just twined the two 9v packs with the inc. Power cord ... Easy Easy..

Then I check on line for the Battery packs and found you can get twice the Amp's for not much more than I paid for the 2.6 amp's

Now this price for Lithium pack Including Smart Charger and everything is just Unherd of..

Here is a link to the Higher Amp Packs with chargers ..

I can't remember which battery type will explode if submerged in water, might want to find out to stay safe.

Lithium ion

Blazer built a Lithium ion light several years ago. I bought one and it was light, bright, and held charge well. That is for a while. Had to send it in three times. Seem to me that they said that it was carrodeing inside. Blazer made it right by me. That showed me that they are standup guys. I am still hunting with Blazer. I bought a 28 volt box light a couple months ago from them. I hope you have better luck with your Lithium batteries than I did. BTW I know of three others that had the same problem I did.
