Living in the Northeat the power outage got us yesterday!

Just got out of work and it was hitting our area around 4 PM. Tiger Woods and other pro players in town for the PGA turnament continued play.
People rushed to get to their destinations before darkness set in. Although most places cancelled events, the Yankee's had power and played last night. We sat around a batterty powered radio in the candle light eating watermelon and half melted soft ice cream! It reminded me of what my grandparents talked about when they were kids, sitting around a radio at night before the invent of TV!
Planned to run the dogs but opted to stay home and visit with my family, too hot to sleep without a fan, power came back on around 1:00 AM. 5:30 came fast!

Hope everybody that experienced the blackout made out OK!
Had a gas grill to cook and my coonlight to see! Good luck!
