HOW CAN A PERSON SAY A DOG IS A COON DAWG. THAT MAKES 9 TREES IN TWO HOUR OF HUNT TIME IN MICHIGAN AND NOT EVEN SEE A COON?

If I was in Michigan and hunted two hours and didnt tree several coon I would be shooting my dog and not the coon. A dog that goes 0 for 9 up there aint a dog. I think coon outnumber people about 10 to 1 up there.

Well Jay It's like this.
A person can make there butt say anything, whether you believe it or not is up to you.
A person saying and believeing that is probably the only one that believes in his "COONDOG". You know, next time you or I draw him he's beat, on account of him packing a "counterfit".

Yea, we do have alot of coons, but 0 for 9, that rediculous.

0 for 9 isn't right its freezing here and well over a foot of snow on the ground and 0 for 9 even these conditions I would be very very very very very very upset and he would know it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a Bluetick there Jay or maybe a black and tan?? We all know Walkers dont do that!!

Well, on second thought, after thinkin about it I dont think it could be a bluetick...You said 9 trees in 2hrs not 2 trees in 9hrs!!

Couldnt be an English (they are just too gooooood...heck they are winning the world hunts now!!)

Someone mentioned redbone/plott?? Are those still a reg. coon hound breed???? didnt think there were any of them left in the world that were used to hunt coons!!!

As for the Leps, well, i dunno what to think of them....So the process of elimination says its got to be a Black and Tan it only makes sense...Walkers are just waaaaay too good to ever be thought of a breed that tends to slick tree!

Night Hunt Game,

0 for 9 in 2 hrs ..if this is true and this is a stud and this is what it takes to win hunts , maybe I dont want to get back into this game...

Will say that certain times of the year here in Michigan you will tree some dens. But let it be known, if its a decent Michigan night and your walking to dens after dens... Your not walking to coons. I use to pick on a buddy of mine that had a Rat male. We didn't hunt them together much, but the few times we did the same result came up. He'd be sitting on a pretty Motel looking den, and mine would be a little ways off with a ringtail. I used to tease him and told him it was teamwork, his dog was showing us where the coon lived and mine showed us the direction he was headed.

Good buddy of mine was trying a dog once. Told me he made 33 trees with 32 slicks and 1 slick den. I asked him how he knew the den was slick. He said didn't you hear me, "He made 32 slicks, what in the world would make you think the den had a coon in it"?

ILL JUST KEEP HUNTING MY CRAP EATING BLACK DOGS AND TREE 1 COON IN 2 HRS. THAT WAY I ONLY HAVE TO WALK TO 1 TREE AND LOOK AT 1 COON INSTEAD OF WALKIN TO 9 AND SEEING NO COON LOL. 9 SLICKS IN 2 HRS THATS CRAZY ID ONLY DO THAT A FEW NIGHTS BEFORE ID WALK OUT OF THE WOODS WITH ONLY MY COLLARS.

If this is a fact...why would you not post the dogs name? Most of us like yourself wouldn't want to breed to this type of dog either.I know I would like to know for future reference.
