Has anyone ever replaced the batteries yourself?? I know they sell them I am just wondering if anyone ever did it and if it worked out okay??

yeah, I'm not sure which all models we've done, but I've got and replaced several, seems to work, if that was the actual problem, sometimes it may be the charger as well..
