Male vs Female ?

The past 5 UKC world champions have been females.

The past 5 PKC world champions have been males.

Is there any ryme or reason for this trend or is it purely coincedental?

Could it be that PKC diehards would rather not mess with females because of their heat cycles interfereing with state and national races?

Just thought it was interesting.

Elvis

I think the heat cycle has alot to do with it. I know thats why I don't like haveing females around. Alot of my buddies have females and it always seems when its time to go hunting there in season.

them pkc cats are always talkin about a dog " takin a beatin ", probably for backin another dog, maybe they all like a male better cause they figure they can take it better than a female.

i personally like a female better than a male. i think they are not near as hardheaded but the heat season is a pain, especially when your plannin on going to walker days or autumn oaks and you gotta sweat the whole time your tryin to get the dog ready for the hunt!!

ok why sweat it a gyp come's in heat like clock work. due your math or put her on regamate to keep her out of heat. a gyp comes in 1-2 times a year . a male stay's in heat 365 day's.

females norm want to please you and hunt for you , a male is not so willing some times they think they or king of the hill. know what i am saying ?

LOL @ Jim

are ya talking female dogs or all females??????LOL Never mind, I don't want to get ya in any more trouble.

For me it is more the individual dog. I prefer to keep females due to the ease of making better crosses.

Elvis,

If I had to guess why, I would say the Superstakes Program is slanted slightly more towards males, but that is Just A Guess.
