dog fines

Hi, I frequently turn my hounds loose on public land to exercise and train them in northern WI. I am now wondering whether or not this is legal? Thanks for any info.

turned out to be a warning but ofiicer said it

was a fact and if the guy whom the warning was written to would be fined next time hopefully no more problems... we are not out there trying to bother people but it is always a possibility , so everyone should be careful!!!!!

At large...

A quick call to that officers superior would be in order. The officer needs to be informed of the laws reguarding hunting dogs and freecasting. The officer does not know the law. You are perfectly legal in running your dogs.
