If you know of anyone missing a Walker or Black and Tan in this area there are 3 on petfinders.com that are going to be put down soon.. Says they were strays ???? Awful nice looking full blooded adult hounds that don't look like junk... Don't want someones lost dog to die just because they can't find em at a pound.... TAKE A LOOK !!!!

The links work Just Fine! Nice of you to post these on here. Sure hope to see some of these hounds get HOME... Hate to see them end up euthanised if they can't make it into rescue. The rescues are so overflowing now too with the economy.

We foster Jack Russels and sometimes a beagle here and there.. My house is overflowing with Jacks and a big beagle right now. My oldest daughter and son in law do it also.. We are crazy but someone has to stand in the gap for quality animals that deserve a 2nd chance.. People that get dogs from us after we make sure they are well mannered and pleasurable seem to become lifetime friends for helping them get a great pet that otherwise would be dead....

..I love fostering and hope to get back to health and help again... Our foster BnTs have tended to STAY here The other thing we REALLY love to do is transport for rescue when we can. SHORT term contact...not as easy to fall for them....
Bob and I agree that fostering is def. the way to get these hounds homes...since many have never been in a home and they are Surely "difficult" at times... My own 2 have had me up and down repeatedly for an hour now... they want to go out... OH! It's too cold... back in... OH! A squirrel...back out... OH! Too Cold...LOL... Kinda wish we had NOT built a small pen off the house now....LOL....

Always love to see hound and dog people step in to help. ESPECIALLY hunters since the "real world" and rescues think anyone who hunts with hounds treats them badly... and that is something I really struggle with... I despise people generalizing...

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Great New Year, sucessfully rehoming those dawgs... esp. the JRTs since i CANNOT imagine... THE NOISE!

do that to try and assure the dog won't wind up back in a pound or shelter... Do some of em go over board... YES !!! they are freakin nuts, and alot don't like hunters.... Wizzzzzz on them, use a recue that has common sense about checking out prospective adoptions...

you have success.... I have mixed feelings on some of these rescue groups.... Some are great salt of the earth folks really helping.... Some are fanantics and anti-hunting... Some started out being pro hunting and turned on "supposed Hunters" when they saw hounds abandoned or starved on a box by these idiots.... These 3 were such nice looking easily identifiable as full blooded coonhounds that I thought they were lost while out hunting... Posted em hoping someone would recognise em as such...and get them back where they belong....
