i cut a small hole on the instep of my hip wader boots the other night on a cotton stalk. does anyone know any ways to repair them or am i going to have to trash them and buy another pair? the hole is about as big as an eraser on a pencil

I tore a big hole in a new pair of waders. I bought a tube of something I think is called Shoe Goo at a local shoe store. Just fill the hole and spread out like a patch over the area and let dry. That has been nearly a year and never leaked a drop

shoe gooe works well as does the tube of blue silicon gasket. I fill the hole and lightly smear it along the outside of the hole. If the boot has a small flap from the hole I fill some of the silicon in the hole and lightly press the flap back over the hole.

This is the best patch I'v found...go to wal-mart or a car parts store to get..at wal-mart it's in the boating section...I'v been useing it for sometime now...no more shoe goo...no more tire patch's..no more leak's...this stuff will stay put on the bottom of my boat at 35 mph ..so i figured it would stay on my boot's and it does...i'v got one patch thats been on my boot for 4 years now.......

i get mine at wal-mart.....or go to a auto part's store ..most part store's carry something from the 3M company...if they do they can order you some from the 3M distbutor...any place that has 3M product's should be able to get you some....hope this help's ....they make another that is 5000 but it's a slow cure ,it takes 48 hour's to cure....that's why I like the 4200 ...over night and it dry......

ive got that fast cure 4200 from walmart. i will go wednesday night and try them out. going to put it on monday afternoon and leave it on till wednesday night. that should give it plenty of enough time to cure. thanks rex
