I usedone before the garmin came out and it never let me down. Until I fell in the river with it on my belt. but make sure you trade them tracker collars off for a pair of marshalls.

We have one and it has never failed us. Other than replacing the batteries we haven't had any problems. We hunt some pretty steep country sometimes and it usually does a pretty good job, we've always found our dogs if they got of the reservation lol...

I have a tracker complete tracker classic and a marshal all with marshal collars I jus got a garmin about a week ago and I luv it so I reccomend a garmin don't get me wrong there all good but garmins are the ticket

i borrowed a buddies of mine with strike collars and ended up
buying a quick track instead.the dog got lost for 4 days could see dog and not get a reading.called factory and they said it was the dead dog function saving the battery.it was strike collars,i heard
the marshalls would do alot better.

I have used one for awhile and have no negatives. It takes some practice but you can locate your dog in most any terrain. With the near mode it has excellent pin point capabilities.

As for the strike collars....No complaints. I had a dog shot early in the season. They took the strike collar off and throwed it in the creek. They put the dog in a trash bag and throwed him off the bridge in the same spot. The collar was submerged in 3 feet of water and the first signal I picked up was from 2 miles away. I was able to track to the spot and at least recover my collars.

I may not be in the majority, but I'm not sure I want to try to keep up with a dog that would go beyond that range.

2 have to's with the classic and strike collars....Tree switch is a must and replace the antenna with cable antenna.

Nightmare on elm street, I used a Tracker Maxima 5000 with two Marshel collars and had very good luck. When the Garmin came out, I traded that unit to Redgy for the Garmin outfit. I was soon sorry that I did, so I turned around and bought a new tracker classic and two marshel collars back off of Redgy.(A Oaks). I have also discovered that the classic reciever is as good as the Maxima 5000 if not better.You cant put more then two collars on it but as far as operation and range, I think its a little better. ihave one that does super but i got a garmin and thier is nothing like them i really like it you can find your dog twice quicker come over for a hunt some time see for your self
