Smokeless Tobacco???

Ok...somkeless tobacco looks and smells disgustion and it can harm people in many different ways. Why do people use it? Is it suppose to give a high or something?...This is a serious question...no answers about how it can harm. I would never do it and am just wondering why others do...

You know your country when you and your wife go for a drive and there are tobacco stains down both sides of the truck.

Chewing Tobacco

Very unique question. I'm not a hard core chewer, but I can remember my first chew given to me at 10 years old by an 'ol rancher that we used to work summers for. He was a nice old man with tobacco stains in the wrinkles of his skin at he corners of his mouth. He always had boxes of Beechnut and Redman stashed in his house and always a pouch on the dash of his truck and shirt pocket. I'm sure he liked it because he chewed so much of it, but I guess I tried it because I looked up to him. I never got so addicted to it though, I mostly chewed off and on when we worked there. I remember trying Copenhagen at around 13 from a nieghbor. Peer pressure! Man, I must have turned every shade of green possible and maybe even some that weren't. Did not do that anymore. I went many years with touching any tobacco before I started guiding deer hunts and hanging out with other guides that dipped and chewed like it was going out of style. More peer pressure. Now I carry a pouch on my coon hunting belt, but I usually have to buy a new pouch because the old one has gone stale and it's not even half way gone. I guess because I'm not a steady chewer I do get kind of light headed buzz. More often than not I chew when I'm driving home from a late night of coon hunting. I'm not sure if it's something in the tobacco that helps keep me awake or the constant spitting into a bottle, but what ever the case I guess my answer is to help me get home safely.

I dipped for over 20 years- quit in August of this year, and said the whole time I could quit any time. It's been 4 months and I still catch myself reaching into my left back pocket without even realizing I'm doing it or why.

Thiers lots of folk with cancer that never chewed or smoked. The question was why. No true answer. Why do people do the things they do.? Is it better to kill than to chew, is it better to lie than to smoke or cheat. You tell me. Guess if I had a choice rather than be a thief and ask my self why I do it. Ill just smoke and let some one else to all the lieing, cheating, stealing, killing or what ever. So while Im smoking my cig, I will wonder why folk do all these stupid things they do. After writing all this, I wonder WHY I posted it. lol Ive come to the conclusion that WHY dont people just mind thier own buisness and clean out thier closet. lol Maybe less WHYS LOL

Put a Folded Hankerchif in your back pocket and every time you reach for your chew pull the hankerchif out and wipe your mouth and say thank you lord i dont have to any more

They do it for the need to be included, for the need to feel a lift, for the flavor, for the need to look or act like someone they identify with, because_____always did and lived a long time, because they don't think it will ruin their teeth or eat away at their jaw and tongue or turn their healthy cells into mutants which spin out of control and need chemo and surgery to stop. Some don't use their long range glasses so they never imagine that it might be nice to have some teeth left when you get old or just to get old and maybe enjoy seeing grandkids. We probably all know someone who had cancer in their throat, not fun talking with a squawker voice generator. Or having to clear your neck airway of spit you can't swallow so you can breath.

We all will die from something it's true. You have to live your life and make your choices. If a person who liked tobacco would choose to just enjoy it once a week or once a month it probably wouldn't be such a big deal. I don't know a lot of folks who have that level of control. It's not the kind of thing that encourages users to be moderate.

Oh well, you can go to church if you want real preaching.

And here is a answer for you Mr. Lynn.

I never claimed to be the smartest person in the world. But i dont also go and make myself out to be someone better than anyone else like he did with his post. And you wanna know why that is? It is because i have respect for other people and there choises even if i dont agree with them.
as far as my spelling and punction i just type faster than i should and words get misspelled.
i will not sit on here and argue Mr. Lynn sent you a pm

Hey friend Fatboy77,

I wasn't speaking from having no experience or being better than anyone. Used to use it myself, still keep some chaw if I ever have a need to use it, mostly use it to make a spray to treat my apple trees for bugs. Works good. Been many years since I really had any myself. Obvious that I stirred you up but nothing was directed to you personally so relax. I know folks make their own choices and I hope they and theirs can live with that. Not every choice I ever made or will make is going to go my way but I try to live right and let nothing control me. Was raised by my mom and dad to do that and old granny was sure to remind me when she could. She usually got to the point, she was good at that.
