Horse wormer

Before the pup's are six months old I worm them with nemex-2 when they turn six months I worm them with Zimecterin gold. Ivermectin 1.55%/praziquantel 7.75% paste which Is a horse wormer comes In a tube and will treat 1250 pounds. Each notch on the stem treats 50 pounds.

Thanks for the info! I've been useing the Gold for about a year now. I found out the only thing it doesn't cover is Hook Worms. I bought some other stuff at tractor supply for that. I had a dog I couldn't get any weight on. It fixed her right up.

I was told by a vet (ya, I know what your thinking.....he just wants the $$$$$) that this kind of wormer will disquise the larva of heart worms and they may go undetected when tested.

I don't know, just what I was told.

"Horse wormer" is a very broad term there are several types out there. The best advice I can give is to know what your going after. then find the drug that kills this type of parasite(s). Once you know what you are after and what kills it then cross refrence that drug with the active ingredient of the various "horse wormers". now with a little math figure out the correct doseage.
I know you were looking for a more specific answer but its best to do some research on your own so you know what your giving and why.

Most pups are given a dose of pyrantel pomate(sp) which is found in nemex and strongind wormers.

Anthelcide EQ I bought it at tractor supply. My buddy told me about it and its the only wormer down there that takes care of Hook worms. Its a horse wormer also. Hope this helps. I had a dog I couldn't get any weight on. My buddy thought it might be hook worm so I tryed it and it works good. But I also started feeding her twice a day.

I will...

but it will probably be Sunday evening before I can get them up. Some of them have really nice spots on them but Pepper put out some like himself also. Only one or two spots and that's it . I don't care about it though because like him, they're still gonna be dark all over. When you rub the hair back, you can see the black growing into it real nicely. Healthy looking pups too.
