Browns Night Hawk Jake, Finley River Hawk, Finley River Night Hawk.

I hunted with an old dog this fall around the last week of November in Michigan. I think he was around 9 yrs. old. I know we have alot of coon and they are supposed to be easy to tree, but that time of year they can even be hard to tree in Michigan. This dog came out of Missouri and a friend of mine owns him. He treed six single coons all were pushing twenty pounds or over. He treed the last one at 2:00 am and it was 15 degrees. There wasn't one thing flashy about this dog. I have been coonhunting for over twenty five years and owned and hunted with several world class hounds. I have never owned or hunted with much from this line of hounds. I guess I was just totally impressed with this hounds nose and his knack for treeing coons on what I thought was a tough night and time of year. He is a direct son of Browns Nite Hawk Jake, grandson to F.R. Hawk, and great grandson to F.R. Night Hawk. I dont know anything about the bottom of his pedigree. Just wanted to share a little story about a Finley River Hound. Thanks.
