deer meat

do any of you all feed your deer scraps to your dogs?

I've done it. My dog gets rib and leg bones. Though she doesn't get them raw. They are boiled off then she gets to chew 'em up.

I always cook it first. I even throw in the head and feet and all the scraps.

If you gut the deer at home cook the guts in a big pot (outside). Don't clean them out, cook it all. The dogs love it! Just make sure you cook it done to kill the parasites.

I used to have a BUNCH of deer dogs and they got everything that I didn't eat. I have never gave it to any of my coondogs. I never cooked any of it, but just threw it over the fence to them.

I've always given my dogs scraps while I'm butchering a deer. Just raw, no need to cook it. I just got a nice buck yesterday, so the dogs are gonna get a big treat tonight! lol

i know a deer processer and i get all there scraps and freeze for year round use they get about 70% scrap the rest dog food seem to do fine the dogs waste disintregrates in no time i feed my scraps raw
