5.00 for what type of coon. whole, skinned, fleshed stretched, size, grade, primeness, flat, stale, greasy? what was it?????

Coon? One with big ringed tail.

Whole? Of course, who would sell just half?

Skinned? Skin WITH fur.

Fleshed? It was muscular and healthy.

Strechted? Well, there was a dog pulling from either end.

Size? It made a pretty good thud when it hit the ground.

Grade? Nice One.

Primeness? Look at the nuts on that ole' boar.

Flat? Pretty round to me.

Stale? Only been in the back of the truck for a day.

Greasy? Nope, furry.

6 muskrats in the grease.......2-$1.00...2-75 cent's...2-50cents..1[large mink]$6.50....local buyer....I wouldn't even trapped those rats but I got a nuisance call from a guy with a pond that the rats were denning in the dam of the pond....China and USSR...won't comment to any anticapated orders for fur...two of the 5 major garment factories in Greece closed thier door's a couple week's ago...Turkey has placed no orders with the auction house's....things can change over night but these depressed price's are likely to remain till after x-mas....they may get better or worse.

thanks for the updates.do u know how our coon people (Russia) are doin? Greece is another , and turkey is another. our new one includes China. i hear that they are still open doored but that was from a person. i cant beleve the price of that mink! well i can because i sold one for 9 dollars last fur auction.

What happened

What happened, I read earlier this year in fish fur game that we could expect 50 dollars tops for big northern heavys??? And if that is all they will give I would not sell I would rather keep em in the frezzer and save them for the puppys....
anyway have a good season
and a happy Holiday season

They say that every year so everyone kills all they can and when they go to sell they wont give you anything for them. we have been hunting all last week and didnt carry a gun every night worth more to me alive

The Russian economy is worse off than we are right now. Been coon hunting for 30 years. The first 5 weren't bad, but, it's been the same ole story for the last 25......and everybody keeps falling for it. Spread the word. Five dollar coon, bad for the hide hunters, good for the pleasure hunter/comp. hunter!

Last year when I still lived in IL, I bet I didn't kill a dozen coon all season. I'd rather tree them again then sell them for nothing. I know a lot of guys who did sell quite a few, but I could care less.

Look up Eric Fender in Clay City, IL. Thats where we all sold coon last season. Good guy, has dogs himself. Spent a lot of time sitting around in his fur shack shooting the bull last season for no more coon than we sold!
