Hound health question?

Hound was in good health, but had lost quite a bit of weight. He was, however, being hunted more than usual, and had been cut back on his feed because he was previously overweight. He's eating fine, and acts like he feels OK. However, almost overnight his skin has started flaking. Looks like he's got a very bad case of dandruff, big flakes. If you've ever had a real short haircut and got your head sunburnt to the point of peeling, it looks identical. It's not getting any better, and it's been almost a week. No change in feed or any other habits. Any suggestions/advice?
