i've got a 10 month old female that came in heat aroung the 15th of september. she had the cycle and went out two weekends ago, so i thought. i hunted her last week with two other male dogs and never noticed anything, over the weekend i went to a friends house and had her and my bluetick in a kennel together and the next thing i know they were tied. so when i came home put her in the pen with my other male and he never even showed interest in her at all. so i guess i will be having some bluetick/walker pups. what a mess!

Just because they've mated doesn't mean she'll be pregnant. Some males will try to mount any female regardless of her status, and some females will allow that even if they're not in heat. I would say wait and see...keeping your fingers crossed cant hurt.

well it looks like she is back in. i might be having some free pups to give away. dose anyone have any pics of bluetick/walker pups that they could post?

on a second note how much of a hassel is it to put a second male on her, i've got a heavy finley river male that i have intentions of crossing on het but i wanted to wait for a while. could you tell the differece in the pups as far as the sir goes.

you would have to have the Males DNA'd and then the pups
if she is even pregnant
