New Energy source

We were discussing this at my work today. Watch the video and pay attention the last thing this man says.

Can you imagine what the big oil companies would think about this happening in the US or any where. It sounds like it should be done.

Oddly enough, the oil companies have funded much of this experimentation.

I like it

The vertical trickle down closed system is very similar to a hydroponic production system so it is simple technology on that side. Your costs would be some amount of electricity to run the pumps and whatever means that is used to separate the lipids from the other matter in the algae. I love it. It also produces byproducts with marketable value. States with loads of sunshine should see marginal land values begin to go up. You could do this in the desert and still keep a desert landscape in and around the installation. I don't see a down side. Hope my retirement accounts will include this, right now they are taking a beating.
