Talked to Elmo early this mourning. Was on the phone with him when he found his dog. Couldn't beleave what I was hearing. Sorry again Elmo, we have seen the good ones always leave way to fast. You have lost two dogs at a young age that were nice, I lost one and Charles and I lost one. It is hard on the sole to see something you have put so much time in and have bonded with as a friend and companion and then they are taken away so fast and with no warning. I guess everything happens for a reason so keep your chin up best as you can and start that pup you have. I know you love starting pups and watching them come on so maybe Sounder will help fill the void that Roller has left. Good luck with the next generation of Breathless Blues and sorry again.

Sorry to hear this Elmo. I know it must be hard to have one die like that at a time when you have big hopes. That is the reason I didn't hunt out of Ohio.

Mr. Overton, we are saddened to hear this. It's a sad day to hear when something like this happens. Makes it even worse when it happens at one of our hunts even though you just never know where the dogs might go when you turn them loose. We are sorry to hear about the loss of your hound Roller.

If the loss of his dog isn't bad enough, someone took his name collar and tracking collar of his dog. The least they could do would be to return his stuff. When you loose a young hound like that unexpectedly it almost makes you want to pack up camp and move on. It wouldn't be as bad if it was an old dog I guess but I haven't lost my old dog yet so I don't know how it will feel. Keep tring Elmo, your hounds are getting the job done for you so keep doing what you have been.

Very sorry to hear about Roller Elmo. We never expect it to happen to one of our hounds but the reality is it can and it has but one thing I can tell you is that Elmo will have another Gr. Nite on the end of his lead in the future. It seems like everytime Elmo hits the hunts its not too long before he has got a Gr.Nite. Sorry for Roller but Goodluck with your next Generation of Breathless Blues.

Thanks to all.

It tough. I Still have Dual Grand Uchtmans Timber who will be 8 and Nite Ch Overton's Breathless Blue Sabrina who is 6 and a 6 month old pup out of them called Sounder. I can tell you right now I don't feel like anything but selling out. I doubt I will because I'm determined to win this UKC world hunt with my Blue dogs that I raise and train myself.
Yes it suck that someone took my collars off my dog and hasn't called to return them to me. I guess at least I know what happen to him and I didn't drive back 7 hours wondering where he is and what happen to him. I had idea's for that young perfomance dog but didn't raise a pup off him. Bobby Hayes has some up and coming crosses that is all the blood I have raise so more than likely on will be my next World champion hopefull if Sounder doesn't fit the bill. I have a feeling he will. Bobby Hayes dogs are out of all my dogs top and bottom so I'm partial to them that I can tell you for sure. So far the Timber pups seem to be doing it good in the woods so we will has as next spring comes up if I have something worthy to put in and win in the hunts. I will probably finish Sabrina out to Grand even thou I don't like hunting females. I'm a male dog man. Anyway thanks to all. I'll get myself together and see what happens
