WAHOOOOOO!!!! TOOK MY FEMALE (CH PR MORGAN'S LOSSES HILLS DAWN- CO OWNED BY REX MORGAN) OUT TO A HUNT TONIGHT. ALSO HUNTED HER THE NIGHT BEFORE AND I WITHDREW IN THE LAST 10 MINUTES ALONG WITH THE OTHER THREE DOGS IN MY CAST. WE HADNT SCORED ANY COON OUT OF 5 TREES AND I THOUGHT IT WAS BEST AT THE TIME. 1ST PLACE REG. ENDED UP BEING 150 OR SOMETHING AND IF I WOULDVE SCORED ONE COON I WOULDVE HAD IT. WELL, THAT GOT ME ALL FIRED UP FOR TONIGHT AND I WASNT GONNA SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN A FIRST PLACE WIN....GOT WHAT DAWN AND I HAVE BEEN WORKING TOWARD FOR A LONG TIME UNFORTUNATLY. SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST DOGS I HAVE EVER TURNED LOOSE WE COULD JUST NEVER CATCH A BREAK. TONIGHT I ENDED UP WITH 450+ AND 300 CIRCLE, NO MINUS AND BROKE THE TIE BREAKER BACK AT THE CLUB BY A FEW HUNDRED CIRCLE POINTS. SHE LOOKED REAL NICE TONIGHT AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW PROUD I AM OF HER. SHE NOW ONLY NEEDS 5 MORE POINTS TO BE NITECH AND I HOPE TO GET THAT NEXT WEEKEND. SHE GOT HER GAME ON....REX MORGAN, PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL TOMORROW AROUND EVENING....

Nate~ I have had her going on 14 months...when we first got her she was inheat and we bred her, so there is about 3 months of not hunting at all. including the second time she came inheat it has been about a total of 4 months that I couldnt hunt her out of 14. I have hunted her at more large events (like plott days, Redbone days, bluetick reunions, etc....) than a regular competition hunt. late spring early summer I only hunted her in about 7 comp. hunts. 3 were at Plott days, one was at rebone days, one was the 2008 BBOA bluetick hunt (were i drew another plott male and the scores were in close range all night) and the rest were just local hunts( The first she got lsat weekend). I won one of the local hunts with her. the year before when she was prego with pups, i hunted her out at plott days and won 6th place registered and 10th place overall. Rex had put a 2nd place win on her Feb. 2007 in Iowa.o all in all she hasnt been in over 20 hunts....i wouldd have won more casts with her if I wasnt a 14 year old girl. I have learned to not let any one push me around any more!!! ; )
I plan on finishing her out tonight to NITECH. This winter will make it easy to finish her out to GRNITECH because she is wound for sound during coon season....Wish us luck tonight!!!

Nate- thanks for the luck! I hope I wont need it though! O man, do them good ole boys get surprised when I raise my voice, they don't expect it! I have a good feeling!!!!
I will definitly remember that the 1st drop I find my competition. I have also learnt that throught 2 hours A LOT can change....I always tell myself what Rex Morgan tells me....gt 1st and 1st one the 1st 2 drops and find coons....the other cast members won't let it show but they will be intimidated.....

DAWN GOT 2ND PLACE REGISTERED WITH 450+ AND NO MINUS OR CIRCLE. I HAD THE CAST WON ALLREADY WITH 225+ UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE OF THE HUNT WERE I CALLED HER TREED. EVERY ONE THOUGHT I WAS ABSOLUTELY NUTS, BECUASE WE HAD JSUT SPENT THE LAST 40 MINUTES LISTENING TO ALL OF THEM WORK BAD TRACKS. I KNEW SHE WOULD PULL THROUGH AND SURE ENOUGH 225 QUICKLY CHANGED TO 450 + SHE LOOKED GOOD AND WISH US LUCK ON OUR QUEST TO GRNITECH!!!EVERY ONE, THANKS FOR ALL OF THE SUPPORT, IT MADE ME VERY HAPPY TONIGHT TO KNOW THAT PEOPLE WERE WAITING FOR ME TO ANNOUNCE HER NITECH.....I AM SOOOOOO HAPPY FOR HER!!!
