Who's Hunting a Registered Dog at Oaks?

Who has a young gun coming on that they'll be trying to place with at Autumn Oaks? Or is everyone out for the National title?

Another question,
Do Reg. dogs hunt fairly close to the grounds since they're last to be called or no?

I'm thinking about hunting an open dog.

I still have a few more hours to decide. LOL

...they don't do it that way.............you will be called according to what satelite club you draw...........usually mixed casts goin to each club (nite ch, reg, etc).........they will give you a map and directions to get to your satelite club............then you're on your own........

Thank you Coon Dawg! I hunted GrNite last year and was sent to Convoy, Great Club! I just didn't stick around for the rest to be called to find out where they all went.

I am having two of my registered dog's at Autumn Oak's .
The best thing a person can do is find a guide at your prefered club .
I'm not to sure if there is favortizm in calling out Gr Nite's for the best club's , i wouldn't think so . But one thing for sure the earlier you register / or find a guide for you at a certain club will help put you where coon can be treed better .
I have hunted there and like alot of other's drive to no man's land and can't get after a decent track !

I hope you the best !

James

John, I don't think you'll have anything to worry about. I believe Hank will be just fine out in IN like he was at Walker Days! haha.

Thanks Again!
Well, maybe since you're not going this year, you'll have a better hunt at the next WC? You just never know!

I entered a registered dog.

I'm only 30 miles from Richmond so I probably be guiding. Think any more it depends on who you draw as to where you go. If you can guide or have a local guide you are better off.

Well, I reiterate, it looks like our "ol' plug" stumbled and got another 1st last nite. So it looks like we ll be hunting in nitech casts both Fri and Sat nites. Good luck to everyone at AO and we ll see ya there.
