Go to your local drug store and get benedryll spray/gel. There will be no itching and bumps gone in 2 days.

I am very allergic

but have found that if I grease up w9th anything oily--cold cream, vaseline, etc.--on exposed skin surfaces, then wash when I get home, I don't get it. You do have to be careful taking off your outer clothing, and the dogs can give it to you second hand if you are very sensitive, so be careful about exposure to them when you come back from a hunt (mine sleep in the bed with me) Put the exposed clothing directly in the wash.
If you are the kind of person who has rashes for weeks or even months when you get it, find a doctor that will prescribe prednisone to you. Most doctors hate giving it out, but it does work to stop the rashes..

jewel weed

go to the wet areas, ditches ect take the stalk of the jewel weed scrape it until the clear liquid comes to the surface . Rub the stalk on the effected area. It will not cure the ivy,but it will take the itch and burn out of it. It could take up to 2 weeks to dry it up,but it shouldn't itch if you put it on when it starts to itch again. It also works on poison oak! If you know you were exposed and rub the jewel weed on before it blisters you won't get it at all!!! When you first put it on it will still itch, but it will work in a few min. (have faith brother) Most of the time you will find jewel weed where you find poison ivy. It is better than anything you can buy in the store.

WHEN I WAS YOUNG I GOT IT REAL BAD. AND EVERYTIME I CAME IN FROM THE WOODS I WOULD FILL THE BATH UP WITH WATER AND THEN POUR A HALF BOTTLE OF CLOROX IN WITH IT AND I WOULDN'T GET IT. NOW I DON'T GET IT VERY BAD AT ALL. PROBABLY NOT GOOD FOR YOU BUT IT WORKED AND IM ALIVE.

Pick it up at the drug store. Gone in two minutes. Once in a while you have to use it twice, depending on how bad you have it. I have been to the hospitals a few times from poison ivy. This product costs about $35, but well worth it.

Jewell Weed works on nettles, also. Ivy Dry from the spray bottle works better for me than the Benedryl.

I made up some jewel weed cubes last time I had the rash and it worked wonders. I had it all over my face so I couldn't put the real harsh stuff on it and the cold helped numb the itching...

i proly

i used to get poison ivy bad and still do if im not care full let me teach you guys a trick somone taught me, and yes it does work good.
before you leave to go to the woods take a bar of soap and lather it up real good on your arms and hand , neck and anywhere you would have exposed skin, let it dry on you dont rinse it off. all it does is block the poison oil from getting to your pores in your skin just like the vasoline trick sept i dont know about you but i dont like greasy ass feelin stuff on me. just wash off when you get back home from the woods and your golden.

Ivy

Tecnu soap. You can get it at Wal-Mart. When you get home from hunting wash all exposed areas. It is the best I have found to prevent the RASH!
