First of all, peter king is one of the biggest idiots in sports. 2nd of all, Favre hasnt come out and said he wants to play for the vikings, its all here say. The way i look at it, if favre doesnt want to play for green bay it shows me that hes afraid rodgers will beat him out. If that is the case, he sure shouldnt be padding up to play if hes afraid of a little compitition. Green Bay won't release him, i doubt he will play anywhere else.

packers will not release farve... always a less than perfect relationship with the gm, will only trade him where he does not want to go, he can come back, but most likely not as the starter, might well be the best to ever play, but he did retire, can go to the league and request a release, sure he can still play and play well, but he may well be in a position where he stays retired...

I agree he should tell the packers to stuff it, on the other hand he should play back up to rodgers. Rodgers get's sacked twice, he will be hurt and out for the season, then favre can work his magic.

Favre has always been my favorite sports player and 'hero',hes led the pack ever since i was a year old. But when he decided that it was his time to retire, he knew a 1st rounder in Aaron Rodgers was gonna take over, so theres no one to blame but himself. Sorry Brett but if you want to play, get your ... to training camp and battle it out with rodgers!

if Farve comes back he will play for GB.... if they trade or release him the fan base would hang the owners & GM from the goal post...... I don't beleive Farve would anywhere else......

if he rides the bench as back up, Rogers will not have a chance......
the first interseption he threw, he would be assassinated by sniper fire, right there on the field....

the fans love Farve, interceptions, fumbles, mishaps, if the gunslinger misfires it don't matter......

I like Farvre, but I have to wonder if he has taken too many shots to the head.
He could stay at home with a gorgeous wife, play golf, do some hunting and fishing. He retired with dignity, he needs to keep it that way. I don't care how good he was/is, he's getting some age on him. I sure don't want to see him bounce around as a backup for the next 5 years.

Farve had a good year last year but has shown he knowlonger can handle the cold. He needs to go to a warm weather or dome team if hes going to compete into the playoffs. Even if GB keeps him they will not let him start. It has nothing to do with competition. GB is ready to develop their future QB, not appease the one looking for one last go at it. Farve is one of my all time favorites, ide like to see him make it to a team that has a real shot at the championship.

What about the year before? He was blessed with a good year last year and an opportunity to go out near the top. He should accept it.

Now the Packers are offering Farve something over 20million to stay retired. Farve states they wont let him come back and compete for the job! They wont release him to sign for a divisional team. If their not going to let him play for Green Bay, atleast let him play against Green Bay.

I think he is just imbrassing himself, and making his old team look bad also. The only team that would take him is a bad team looking to fill a couple extra seats.

I dont think it is Brett that is holding everything up. He said he would play for the pack and the pack doesnt want him but then again they didnt want to let him play against them either. I think its time for the Pack to get it together. Why would a good thing have to come to an end when he was still good enough to be better than 90 percent of the quarterbacks out there last year.

they shouldda went down and helped him PACK

soon as he said he wanted to come back ... fit nhim , use his head , i believe he really enjoys football and KNOWS the game as good as anyone give him coaching responsibilities and let him a play a quarter or so of every game.then if rogers gets hurt you are ready to win, if farve is still way better the pack is set!!!!!
