I have talked to most Ohio club presidents and no one seems to want to take on the task of hosting this years youth hunt so once again the Holmes Conservation Beagle club with take it on, I'm looking for suggestions on dates it would suit everyone as well as starting to take donations, Right now I'm leaning towards late Aug/ early Sept. Its too late to get it done for June and July/ early Aug. is just to weedy & hot ( Todd Please help me with some dates with no other local or big hunts) Club officers Please ask your members about club donations as well as kennel donations also, I will again kick off the list with $25 from Gotta Go Kennels and challange everyone to match me. Come on guys the last few years has been a big success and I would like to see this years even BIGGER AND BETTER than the past. I would really appriciate any suggestions, ideas, donations and or VOLENTEERS to help orginize this event. Thanks

I will donate two 4 foot tall matching trophies that Beau and Dee won at the Little pack Nationals recently. Will also donate $25 plus in merchandise for the "RAFFLE PRIZES". If some are going to camp out the night before for fishing and a campfire maybe we should plan a cookout or something. If anyone needs an extra dog to run or show let me know. Will help with anything you need help with.

I am coming through to Columbus on Friday 23 May 2008 and would be willing to dante a prize or two for your youth event if some one could meet me at say Cambridge area.

If your youth hunt will be after the month of June and some of the Ohio beaglers come to the Hunters Rights hunt the end of June in West Virginia, I can send the donated prize of a .22 cal Plinking Spinner target back with them.

I think a child would enjoy plinking with an adult so if they win this prize it will give them a reason to bug their dad, grandpa or big brother to go plinking.

OK, the date available in late august is saturday Aug 30th, There are no dates open in Sept.
Wanting some input on weather this would be a good date to hold this hunt AND draw alot of youngsters????????
I know everyone thinks Aug, is a long time away but TRUST ME this little hunt takes ALOT of time and planning to pull it off right.

So far I have $100 from St Louisville club and $25 from Roy Pasmore + my $25 and $100 from HCBC, Thats about enough for trophies, the hunts in Ohio have really slowed down, I'm gonna try to make the PP hunt in West Lafeyette this weekend, But it looks like I have to work the next 2 weekends. If your not going to be at the PP hunt please send money ASAP.................. I need to get things started. THANKS
PS If anyone from this area is going to the hunters rights benefit or the WQE in WV please post a reply I need some donations picked up.

i am very interest in the youth hunt because i am a youth im 14 and have been wanting to be in a hunt for a while but you guys know how parents are always give you a reason of why you cant do something lol but anyways i might be getting a styarted beagle some time in the near future so if someone could pm me with the exact location and youth hunt rules i might be able to come to the hunt thanks
