Then how does that constitute for "TOTAL DOG". is this new i havnt been around for a few years. I thought awhile back they were thinking about doing something for a hound that hunted and showed. again i havnt b een around for awhile.

Mike, I'm pretty sure that these dogs all hunted in each hunt that they showed in. It was explained earlier in the year, on the board, you had to hunt in order to receive total dog points in the show. Even when a dog has 50 championship points from the field and its allowed to show without hunting, this dog must hunt in order to receive the total dog points. Hope this helps.

IF YOU DONT HUNT THE DOG IN THE MOURNING OF THE SHOW THEN YOU DO NOT GET POINTS TOWARDS THE TOTAL DOG.AND YOUR NOT SUPPOSE TO SHOW FOR BEST OF BREED IF THE DOG DID NOT HUNT.

There are also other UKC recognized breeds that show for the total dog and they don't even hunt. I am not sure why it's this way Mike, I just see what I read.
