Yes - Viewed from the side, the top of the skull and the top of the muzzle are parallel lines, separated by the stop.
quote: (B) First it says the muzzle is joined to the skull by a definate stop. But then in the next paragraph it says the skull tapers slightly to the muzzle. Am I missing something?
This is about the width of the head - it narrow slightly from the sides of the skull, through the cheeks, to the muzzle.
quote: EYES: Leopard spotted dogs may have one or both wall eyes or blue eyes. What is a wall eye? I know what a walleye is and it goes good with cole slaw. I have no idea what wall eye is.
Wall eye (also called china eye) is a very light blue, and may or may not cover the whole iris - sometimes you'll get just a pie shaped piece of the eye that's blue, sometimes half, sometimes the same thing. Catahoula's have this kind of eye also.
quote: TAIL: The tail is set low, and may be any length. Does that mean cropped also?
Not positive about that, but I would take it mean that tail length is not important, that a dog with a naturally shorter tail should not be penalized. I think if they were talking about a natural bob or a docked tail it would say so.
quote: COAT: There are two layers to the coat. A rough outer coat and a fine wooly under coat. As Judges are we to check to make sure the dog has an under coat?
You're not going to see an under coat in the summer, but you should still be able to tell if the dog has that type of coat.
quote: HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: The standards gives the WEIGHT standard. 50-70 for males and 45-65 females. I haven't found where it says what the HEIGHT is...?
That would have to come from the breed club - they should do a chart showing comparable heights/weights -it is hard for judges to estimate the weight on a breed they are not very familiar with.
Hope this helps!
