Ok, I've put up and put lately and I'm just sick of it!
So, here is my rant for the year. LOL.

1) When you tell someone you are going to be at a certain place and time to pick up a dog, BE THERE! If for some very good reason you can't make it, that's what they make phones, cell phones, e-mail, and pm's for! Let the person know BEFORE they end up waiting on you for hours spending what little family time they have available wasted on the side of the road!!!!

2) If you don't have the money for a dog DON'T waste the persons time with repeated e-mails or phone calls several times a day, for days in a row, just to say "sorry, I don't have the money?!"

3) READ THE FULL AD! How hard is that? IF an ad lists a picture, bloodlines, price, and full description... why do so many people then ask for a price or another piece of information clearly stated in the ad? READ THE AD!

4) If you buy a dog listed as a show dog, don't complain that it won't hunt. If the dog is listed as a hunter and has a picture showing feet as flat as a duck, an ear chewed off, and a face so ugly not even a mother would love, don't complain it lost a show!

5) Have some common sense.... you're not going to get a competition hound for $300. Likewise, if you spend $2500 on a dog it better do something other than look pretty!

6) If you are to poor to pay for a dog, chances are you are to poor to properly care for it. Please don't ask for one of mine, I don't want mine dying of worms or from a disease it could have been vaccinated against because you don't have the money.

7) A deals a deal people. Make good on it. If you don't pay up, it's going to come around just wait and see!

8) Do not call at obscene hours of the day. Before 7am is not the time to call me! After 11:00pm and someone had better be dying!

I think I'm done for now! Boy do I feel better!

If you want to deal dogs your going to get this and somtimes worse.

IMO a dog that isnt worth 300$ wont leave here, its just not worth the headache.

Wow!

Thanks guys. It's been really frustrating lately dealing with some people who are, well, just plain stupid. LOL.

Just needed to vent after that last one, hubby was at work and no one was answering their phone so figured I'd just post!

I'm thinking about writing a book of all the funny, bizarre, and stupid dealings we've had lately regarding dogs. There sure is enough to fill a few hundred pages! Surely if all the presidential candidates can write a book so can I.

Mr. Brickles,

I'm mainly talking about the " I want a pup but don't have $200, can't my boy have one" people. You know as well as I do the basic costs associated with owning even 1 dog. If you can't pay $200 for it, then you can't afford to own it under even the best circumstances! God forbid something unusual happen to it.

Just this past year we spent $2300 (give or take a few bucks) on just two of our dogs that had the "unusual" occur. One had a gun shot wound, the other a serious case of mastitis leading to gangrene. Both put together were not worth the cost of the vet bills.

We are by no means rich, but by owning dogs we took on the responsibility of caring for them properly. If we were not able to do so, then we would get rid of them all.

I honestly think people should have to have a license to own a pet or have a child. Anybody can do both these days. But that does not make them a good parent or a responsible pet owner.
