Bench Show Seminar

"A seminar for Bench Show Judges and handlers will be held Friday at 5:00 p.m., or immediately following the show in the Kuhlman Center conference room. Amy Thomas of UKC's Coonhound Field Operations Department will present on Power Point program on Structure And Balance. It is strongly recommended that all current Licensed Bench Show Judges attend this seminar. The seminar is open to all individuals interested in coonhound conformation. "

I know this question has been asked before, but I dont remember the answer.

Why can't these seminars - in some form or fashion - be made available to ALL BSJ's rather than the ones that are able to make it to the events?????

You would think if it was a power point presentation, they would give it to anyone who asked. Not just judges. What's wrong with spreading some education around?

We've never had videos in the past. Well, I take that back. Some were shot but not professionally and not what I would want to send out. I would think if the Registry was going to make something available it should be professional and that is expensive.

Both of the power point seminars for this year are new. So new in fact they haven't even been done yet! lol I'm putting some pressure on Amy and Tank to have them ready. It may be something that we can send out to some of you to do presentations at the local level.

any sort of video would be better than nothing, as long as you can understand what is being said. jmo

Power Point is not a video. It is a slide presentation in Microsoft. When the presentation is completed it could easily be emailed to requesting individuals. Then just watch it on your screen.

Free edumacation!!!!

but that only works for those that have a computer and/or a projector for others to watch. I'm sure my company would not lend me the projector to do this.

even a printed copy would be nice. that way additional copies could be made for distribution.

True. Not everyone has access to equipment. But I'm sure if they are logged in here, they have access to a computer. You really don't need a projector. Unless you really wanted to hold a class yourself for others to attend. The slide show will run on your screen. You can also print every slide. It would be great to make a little hand out and distribute to your friends.........Keep it for reference.........

why not just put a link on the main board and allow downloads as needed? that way anyone who wanted it could get it and it wouldn't bog down AMy or Todd w/ email addresses.
