You can use:

Garlic in their food, around their pens. If you can stand the smell of it, that is.

I also had a friend tell me about 8 weeks ago that she tacks up dryer sheets on the inside of the dog houses, they don't have any fleas. They are cheap and you only have to replace about 1 a week, whenever the smell goes out. Who knows if that works, I havent tried it yet.

We have our pups at my dads kennel, and he sprays with something, and our pups are 9 weeks old and don't have a flea on them. I'll ask him what it was.

also, if they are still nursing you can put garlic in mama's food and they'll get it in the milk...this works, I've tried it.

you'd have to be careful w/ cedar while they are really young, since they are still suckling they may suck on the chips and ingest them or get sick. someone said that the cedar may actually irritate their tender skin.

it was suggested to me that if you use cedar to put it in something, i.e. pillowcase or covering of some sort.

I would work very hard to prevent them from being exposed to fleas to begin with. Using regular dish soap will get rid of fleas and is safe for little puppies. I wouldn't use anything else on pups that young.

Wash the pups in Dawn dishsoap. Clean your pens and put down hydrated lyme and sevin dust.
