training dogs to hunt bobcat

i have a 2 year old bluetick. he runs coon well but have not hunted him much. i would like to start him on bobcat but do not know anyone how hunts them near my. is there any way i can start him off with out any older dogs

Get him out after a fresh snow when you know any track you cut is fresh. Start to walk him on it until he acts like he'll take it and then cut him loose. Keep doing it, if he likes a cat he'll go.

cat training

Sometimes farmers are willing to part with a couple of their barn cats since they breed like rabbits. Cut em loose out of a live trap just like a coon, give em a minute head start & cut your dog loose. Good Luck!
