You make the call

Here's an "oldie but goodie" from the archives:

How do you score a Nite Champion cast where all four dogs are treed and an opossum and raccoon are seen in the same tree?

It amazes me that people still get the answer to this one wrong. The tree would be plus because the "dog" always gets the benefit of the doubt. Another situation most of us will never have to deal with.

Long as you SEE the coon it don't matter if there's a flying elephant up there in the same tree .

You think this is something. Should of saw the ruling on possum tracks going in a den tree on ntch's cast. I missed it. Still don't think Id go by the ruling.

Lack of knowledge or just taking a guess at it. And these are the same people who judge casts every weekend. Now we know where all the questions come from.

Now you see why people argue in a cast. Guys, if you don't know this one, you should prolly not be in a NiteHunt

Like I said, this is an oldie but goodie and about 86% of you got it right.

If you have The Advisor check out page 115 "Coon and off game in the same tree." When a coon and off game are seen in the same tree you give the dogs the benefit of the doubt and plus them. I like how one other poster phrased it: "if you see the coon it doesn't matter if there is a flying elephant in the tree."

If you don't have your own copy of The Advisor now would be the time to get one. If you enjoy competition hunting then it will be the best money you will spend. It has UKC's official interpretation on the Nite Hunt Honor Rules. Someone may try to argue with you but you can't argue with The Advisor.
