The tree shoud be scored the way the judge of this cast scores it,with the option to be ?'ed by the other handlers,if ?'ed take back to MOH for a decision by him. This is a judgement call.We all know how the MOH will rule here.If 2 againt 2 MOH will go with judge,if 3 to 1 majority rules.Even if the 1 is the judge!!!The tree should not be deleted it should be scored!!

And that would be wrong....

Tree is circled, end of story.

From all the rules I know, if the judge is one of the two to minus, then the tree is minused. If he was one ot the ones to circle, then the tree is circled. The card can be questioned at that time, but it takes a majority vote to overturn what the judge calls. Dogwhisper is right.

The tree should be circled. Tree can't be plussed or minused unless you have a majority vote.

It is amazing how many believe a judges vote is worth more when scoring a tree.

Is there, in fact, any situation where it is permitted to delete a tree, other than returning to previously scored tree, under UKC rules?

That's why those rules are printed on the back of the card guys. Under #17 general information rule #4 states go with judge when vote is two and two. The other hunters reserve the right to still question the call, but it is put on the card for what the judge decides.

Rock and Roll, that rule applies to every situation EXCEPT:
Scoring a tree
Calling timeout
Checking to see if dogs have
returned to a previously scored
tree.

Scoring a tree under a hunting judge is alway a cast vote with every vote, includeing the judges vote, being exactly equal. If the vote is 2-2, the tree is circled.

Josh is absolutley right. His answer would be consistent with Rules 3 and 4 where it states "majority of cast" when it comes to scoring trees plus or minus. 2-2 is not majority and are circled. Never deleted.

Rock and roll,

No sir, I wasnt calling you a cheat at all..

It just seems people being cheated tend to be the same ones that dont understand the rules very well.
