Xjr Remembered
Aaron had a chance last month to vist Jess Dickerson and meet X. Aaron told me that Jess is the nicest person anyone could meet. He also said how much he had a sense that Jess loved his dogs. He told Aaron a funny story about X. Apparently Jess had a friend stop by one day and in the back of his truck was a caged coon. The coon was in a diesel truck and covered over, but X could still smell it. X promptly jumped his six foot fence, climbed into the back of the truck and commenced to rip that coon out of his cage. Jess put X back in his pen and he watched him back up and jump that fence again. Now that's determination.
We have two half sisters out of X, Jewel and aptly named Jess. Jewel was purchased from a dog jockey, sight unseen and unhunted for $400 last March. She has been every bit her breeding. She has a first place win on her nite ch. and is a show champion. We wouldn't trade her for the world. I love to hunt Jewel and hear the complaints that the other hunters in my cast can't hear their dogs because Jewel is so loud.
Now Jess is every bit the hound her sister is and just as loud. She was purchased from Jess as a puppy. She will be two on April 20. She is a GRCH, FCH, and only need 15 points for her WCH. She hunts Bobcats in the winter. She is the energizer bunny, never down always up and ready to hunt.
You can't imagine our shock to the news of X, it leaves a hole in our hearts.
So very sorry for your loss, Jess, X lives on in our hearts and in our hounds.
