Need Ideas for youth contest

We've got a 5 mo. old walker male that we're wanting to give away to a youth hunter. Want to make things interesting though and would like to have an essay contest.

Plan on having a "panel" of judges to decide on the winner, want to start soon but need some topic ideas. Want to have at least 3 or 4 possible things they can write about, and need questions that are practical for all age groups.

Suggestions please?

If you know of a youth wanting a dog (with parents permission of coarse...) then please let them know about this. I'll post bloodlines and all on the dog at a later date. Try to get some current good pictures of him as well. NICE male with a pedigree to match.

Why is this 5 month old going to youths? Is there something wrong with it? I'm not trying to be a jerk, but if it's going to a youth it should be a great dog. Anything less will push them away, not draw them into the sport. I think a puppy, 8 to 12 weeks is a better prospect for a youth, just my opinion.

SUZANNE!!! This is a great idea. Mr. Glista did a contest for the kids also. Let me know if you need help with the 'panel'.

There are many differant subjects to write about....not only hunting but showing also.

~~Why kids should carry on the 'right to hunt'.

~~What coon hunting means to me.

~~What I've learned from my coon hunting buddies.

~~What are and why are there "breed standards".

~~Pro's and con's in differant hunting styles.

OHHH the possibilities.....

This boy was our pick of the litter from a July 4th birth. Since we moved and can't keep all the dogs, most of the younger ones are being sold. Figured we might as well find a youth who wants a dog and may not be able to afford one rather then just sell him.
There is no way I would have parted with this dog at a younger age, circumstances have changed though.

Whoever ends up with this boy will be happy with him.

OH, forgot to mention that this dog has almost all GRCH bloodlines with nice looks and we're looking for a DUAL PURPOSE home for him preferably. Would like some show questions as well as hunting. I know, some of you just cringed! LOL.
