What is the hunting like in Hope Arkansas?

How about the Timber Rattlers and all that stuff. How successful has the hunt been in the past down there. What kind of terrain are we looking at.

Elmo, I think you could have swamps full of water moccasins and rattlers or pretty rough hills. I don't believe there will be to many puppy ditches.

Not really a lot of swamps, but there are some small beaver ponds. There are several snakes, but for the most part, it is pretty good hunting....some big timber, big bottoms, lots of chicken houses to hunt around. There are a few rolling hills, but I would bet you would be hunting flat country. I enjoy the hunting around Hope. Is there a hunt you are looking at going to, or are you looking at pleasure hunting around there?

Hope

I assume you are looking at attending the Bluetick hunt. I live in Hope. I would say you will probably hunt anything from good bottoms to a few clear cuts. There is alot of strip hunting, tree a coon or two and move. The terrain will be slight rolling hills at most. Coon are starting to move again.

Sounds much better than I thought. The Fall Round-Up was held there years ago. Must not too bad to be going back. I would sure like to go but will be gone all week for annual conference and will be back Thursday to turn around and head out on Friday and Saturday.

Dennis

I'm not worried about puppy hollows. He will do just fine where ever he is dropped. I hate snakes. I guess I don't want to be surprised when I drive down there. I coming to win not just hunt.

I'll just have to see. I really don't want to make the drive by myself that is for sure.

I live in central Arkansas and the snakes are really moving here right now (during the day). Maybe they will get somewhere and stay put so they won't get in the way of the round up.

I would be more concerned about the dog getting bit than myself. Sounds like you will be headed to Hope. I am not sure about making the hunt yet.
