Please send up a few prayers for my son Matthew Griggs. He flew out Wed. with the 82nd Airborne. He will be in Iraq for 15 months. I am proud as a father can be also scared.

First off I would like to thank Mathew for his service to this great Country. Then I would like to thank the families of these soldiers for their sacrafices as well, they are MANY!! Randy my prayers are with Mathew along with the other men an women serving with him.. Roy Propps Oklahoma

Randy,

My son has done one tour in Iraq, and I remember the conflicting emotions as he got on board that plane to go. The pride that I felt that my "little boy" had grown up to be a man, and was willing to sacrifice for his country.

I also remember the fear and the dread......

I'll be thinking of you and your son. Send him lot's of "care packages" and tell him that we are all thinking of him...please pass on my PERSONAL thanks for his sacrifice.

I say a prayer every morning that includes asking God to watch over our service men and women overseas and he will be included . Tell him that people he doesn't know are praying and also thanking him and all the others for their service.

God bless Matthew and watch over him and be with his family also while he is away. Amen!

I don't really know how it feels to have a loved one go over seas. But I do know how it feels to have the first child go off to college. Sucks.
