?????? rules

nite hunt.......only 2 nt.ch. entered. can they go ahead and hunt with one of them being hunting judge or do they have to have a third person from the club go along as non-hunting judge or 3rd person to vote?
the one section on the rules say that when hunting judges are used that in case of a tie (2-2 vote) put question mark by it and let the master of hounds decide. whats the difference of a 2-2 vote or 1-1 vote and let MOH decide when you get back?

anyone?

I have been on some casts over the years where only two of us went to the woods. It probably isn`t a good thing unless both are honest because you have to agree on everything. We have one Master of Hounds that does alot of our hunts that requires a non hunting judge on any two dog casts. No exceptions!! I don`t know the exact rule but it has always been up to the Master of Hounds around my area.

2 dog cast

2 dog cast can have a hunting judge, and all disagreements must be question marked and brought back to the MOH to be decided on.

Pappy is right, as always.

Coarse he was around BEFORE the rules were written.

If I am the MOH though, anything less than a 3 dog cast gets a non hunting judge.

or flip a coin if you don't agree, because most likely it's a judgement call and there is nothing the m.o.h. can do in that case.because we are all suppose to know the rules, and if you don't they are on the back of the card.sometimes we all need to take that extra minute and make the right call,it's not always the quick call is right.
