hubby says they are very good eattin', taste like chicken he says. I love snakes, but I really prefer that rattlers & copperheads stay way away from me & my house.

did not know you could eat copperheads,,or was you talking about a rattler,bearhunter that is a big one,,i skined and taned a big one 2 weeks ago,,my freand killed it in the garden,i cant wait to here your dogs tree a bear this fall,,happy huntting,david boggs

yeah rattler
I didn't take a good enuff look the first time. Hubby is from down south, though, so it's possible they eat them down there. They eat crayfish, so why not copperheads?

come to Kansas we have two kinds of Rattlers and Cooper Heads
I was hunting the other night dog treed one went in to him and he had coon went back to truck loaded dog went get in front and under my door laid a 3 1/2 foot long timber rattler. I am not going back there till winter.
