The Hard Way

Brian and Brent Live in western Canada.
Brian has had Light Foot Full Throttle since he was 6 weeks old, Brent bought a littermate Light Foot Robin at 6 months old. There are no Night Hunts or Coons in the part of Canada these guys live in.
So they drive to Idaho for Water Daze<swim contest> and a quick coonhunt with good freind Dustin Myers.
The first pic is of the Swim off to see Who was the puppy winner for saturdays contest. The reason for the swim off was that the finales race was a tie between these two littermates. As you can see Throttle won by a nose the second time, Throttle earned it The Hard Way.
Good Guys Good Pups and Good fun.

The next pic is of the hunt. Both pups did a good job on their 1st coon.
This pic was taken as these guys crossed the mountains on the way south.

Way to go guys
Jess

COOL PIX!

SNOW? LOL... Wow!
The starting box pic is really cool with two very different "take offs". Love the tree pic.
Always enjoy your pix, Thanks for sharing! HappyHunting

Thank You for the Kind words. I thought that some on this board might find it interesting to see how far others would go to compare their hounds in the only competitive events they have access to.

Canadians are tough! A light snow is still Tshirt weather! When you see a Canuck put on a coat, you KNOW it's cold!! and if he actually does it up, it's below 0......

I agree with that wearing the coat thing. When I go hunting up there I wear a Coat and I am still Cold most of the time. But seeing those Big Lions makes it worth it.

Jess coats only make you soft! That snow pic was last Friday morning. We were going over the Bow summit at 6000 ft.

Thank You, I guess they are not Bench Show type, But we try to breed them to have the athletic ability to do the job. Athletic ability is important to the Big Game hunter.

Brian
Soft huh, Well you can come down and spend a week hunting in the Florida heat with me. LOL.

I would much rather hunt in the cold than in the heat.

Hot or Cold

So long as I am hunting I can deal with either.
But for everyday life, I like the heat.
