I had left a young dog out last december and I was driving back to where I left him at when I drove up on this monster buck.He was about 80 yards from me when I took this picture.He is laying down with the doe. The rut was still on here.I had permission from this man to coon hunt on this 2500 acre farm but had not ask him about deer hunting.He told me later that morning that I should of shot the deer! A friend of mine shot this deer 4 days later. It was checked as a 28 pointer. It is so ugly that its pretty!! Its amazing what a man will turn down to keep his coon hunting rights!!
