Wooden Kennel Floors

What is the best way to secure your kennels to a deck floor? I have the welded wire kennels that have the bar at the bottom. I'm just stumped on how the best way would be to secure them down.

Or do you think that they even have to be bolted down....?

Will the bottom rail be up of the floor. Does the 2 upright ends post keep bottom rail up off the floor some. If the uprights on both ends of kennel sections holds bottom rail off the floor, then I would just cut some 1/2" thick rubber and frame the kennel upright in on 2 sides on each upright so it can't move around. Screw down with galvinized screws. Worked for me in my welping kennel.

If your bottom rail isnt to far off the floor, you can get a 2 hole strap from a store that sells electric material. They will have exact size for the rail and all you need to do is anchor it with a wood screw. ronnie hill

floor

i used a floor that is a little bigger than the kennel and then you can screw a 2x4 around the outside and that will hold it in place
