Just wanted to say thank you...

I thought I would everyone know about my dog's experience over the weekend. We went to the Kentucky Houndsmen event in Stanfield last weekend. On Friday, Bandit started shaking his head some. So I got some perioxide and put a little in each ear...that made it worse. He began shaking worse and scratching/pawing at both ears.

Well, with a show the next day, I looked thru the phone book trying to find a vet that may be open on Saturday. Luckily, we were staying in Danville and there was the Animal Medical Center that just happened to be on the same road just a tad from the hotel.

A lot of vets want you to have an appt and if you're from out of town they may not see you at all. So, I stopped in at 8am Sat morning to see if they could work us in...they could. I just wanted to say thank you to Dr. Grubbs that was on duty that morning. He was very nice and understanding. He showed genuine interest in the dog and his problems and his symptoms. He took the time to listen to what I was telling him instead of just rushing to a conclusion. He had a little trouble looking in Bandit's ears becuase the right one really hurt. The staff was very nice as well.

Turns out he has a double ear infection. The cost of all of this was very reasonable (which I was surprised) and similar to what my vet would have cost as well.

If that is your vet, consider yourself lucky. Not many would have taken an out of towner walking in.

So, Thank you Dr. Grubbs. If anyone goes there, please extend my thanks and appreciation.

Cynthia

Hear a lot of Vet Horror stories around the Country, but we have some very Good reasonably priced Vets in Central Ky.
