Lonnie P, my reaction to walmart, has nothing to do with how much they sell them for. It has to do with a major world wide company decideing guns are A legal liabilty, and some groups THAT ARE WELL ORGANIZED, unlike ALL THE SPLINTERED GROUPS of SPORTSMAN, would rather them not sell DANGEROUS guns. Who do you think has more polictial punch? Walmart or Bob's Guns and Ammo. Thats my point on Walmart, when a MAINSTREAM company turns its back on us, it is has a bad effect all the way down. How about the kid, city or rural that has never been exposed to hunting or fishing? He goes with his mom to Walmart, sees a bunch of guys their wives AND their kids standing around talking about their kids first bass, deer , or maybe even a COON. Seeing the proud look and the attention the other kid is getting could only peak his interest.
ITS THE WHOLE PICTURE, NOT JUST PRICE OR ANYONE THING. LONNIE, I'm not saying your view is wrong, just PLEASE look deeper into it. thanks, mike
Bill, a few items are vendor stocked, like bread and some dry goods, but most are bought and sold by Walmart. Again, I KNOW the amount of GUNS and AMMO they SELL at MY store. I have Three friends that own gun shops, I know the markup on walmarts guns. They have a ton of items thru out their store that are non or very small profit margin items, BUT they are still carried and sold for the convience of the customer. We have been deemed expendable.
