Handler trees dog before striking. Won't to make sure I am correct.

None of the above. The answer is the judge cannot accept a tree call on a dog that has not been struck. The judge should minus next available strike position for failure to strike dog on or before the 3rd bark if the dog has barked more than three times but as to the question about the tree call, the answer is simply do not accept the tree call.

If the tree call is under a minute from the turn loose the judge informs the handler he can't except the tree call and no minus on strike. After the minute, as Jim said.

ive seen them except tree points if the handler trees his dog and dog did not open on track and got struck in...this dog was open on track but the drop this happened on the dog just came treed...right or wrong idk but it happened on a cast last year
