I was thinking Sunday night , how much FUN I had that day with my family for EASTER and I was thinking there are A LOT of Troops did not get to spend EASTER with a Family because they were SERVING our COUNTRY for us to get to enjoy ourselfs.

I wanna say THANK YOU to all who has or are SERVING this country to help me sleep SAFE at NIGHT!

This is a letter my aunt and uncle received from my Cousin Davance's COMMANDER.

Dear Mr & Mrs Locklear,

As commander of the 6th Airlift Squadron, Now deployed to Southwest Asia as the 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, I'd like to take this oppurtunity to update you on your son.

Since the beginning of the deployment in September , Davance has perfomed phenomenally, flying 90 combat sorties, delivering over 1,400 troops and greater than 2.6 million pounds of vital supplies and equipment directly to the frontlines in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Horn of Africa.

I would like to thank all of our troops as well. They put it on the line so that we can enjoy the freedoms and liberties that we have. J Strickland, I know that you are proud of your cousin, Davance as we all are. I agree that we get to sleep safe knowing that we have such fine men and women serving in uniform.

These brave men and women are the heart and soul of this country.

So many young people waste their lives by getting into trouble ~ gangs, drugs, robbery, hating ~ thank the Lord for this young man and others like him.

This is a great post and I would like to thank you for posting it and all the men and women(past,present and future) that have served this great nation even dureing times when we have a sory government.
My son done a tour in Iraqu and Afganistan. He was hit with two IED's in Afganistan and come threw them with no lasting injuries.
The men that replaced them when they came home got hit with an IED one weak after my son left. There were two amputees and a broke leg from it.
So I know how lucky I am and sure feel for the parents that weren't. God see fit to have our leaders get or kids out of there.
