It is the 2nd most popular feed around here right behind Sexton bros.

There isn't a nickel's difference between the Sexton bros. White bag and the black Sportsmix bag when you look at ingredients.

Both make dogs crap their guts out.

A guy brought a gyp for me to hunt last fall and brought a bag of Sportsmix to feed her. There wasn't a place you could set your foot down around her house where she had not "crapped" after a week of being tied.

This is a coonhound forum. We hunt them, we show them, we clean up after them, and many people want to take care of them the best they can. What you put into your hound can determine how well or how much in everything we do with our hounds, so it should not come as any surprise that the subject comes up very often. We should not be offended when this subject comes up, but instead just tell what our experience has been with the product whether it be good or bad or just opt to not reply at all.

I for one have fed sportmix (blue bag) and liked it very well. I feed Sportmix and Diamond Naturals Extreme Athlete. I feed the Diamond to my pups and anything that is getting hunted regularly. Anything else gets a mix of the two.

I fed Sportmix for a good while and liked it. It was as good or better than anything in it's price range. Then, sometime around the Fall of 2007 the quality seemed to have fallen off a bit. I swapped to Enhance, but tried it for about a month this Spring. Needless to say, I wouldn't feed it to the coons now.

I fed it for a while a couple years back and it is an OK feed. It is pretty much the same as the other similarly priced feeds. It is corn based and has a lot of byproducts. I feed Purina One now and the dogs do a lot better but I would probably switch back to SportMix if I had to quit feeding Purina for some reason.
